As a wedding photographer, I shoot in hundreds of locations and venues around the country (and the world) but mostly close to home in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Here is a list of some of the local venues I have enjoyed working at, which may be of help to you if you are still choosing your venue. Chelsea is such a beautiful part of London that it is the most charming location for an intimate wedding. The Chelsea Town Hall registry office which is renowned for it’s celebrity nuptials is a perfect location to tie the knot. 

With a brisk walk along the Kings Road you are in the perfect location for a huge variety of venue to choice from to carry on your wedding celebrations. 

 

Hitchin Priory

Hitchin Priory

Nestled in 19 acres of beautiful countryside, you would never imagin Hitchin Priory is in the heart of Hitchin. The building is drenched in history and dates back to the 1317 and was frequented by Henery VIII, many of the features have been lovely restored and can be stunning back drop to your wedding photographs. The Priory is licensed for Civil ceremonies fro 20 to 100 people.Also in the grounds a marquee is avalible for up to 300 guests. 

 

Ponsbourne Park

Ponsbourne Park

Ponbourne Park surrounded by over 200 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, the 19th Century House is a beautiful blend of classic elegance with touches of up-to -date stylish decor. 

It offers the opportunity to play a round of golf or use the gym facilities as the friend and helpful staff organise the final touches to your wedding. The hotel is part of the De Vere Venues group, giving you the knowledge you are in safe hands as they help you  planning your special day. 

Putteridge Bury

Putteridge Bury

On the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire border Putteridge Bury offer both a civil ceremony or wedding reception. The beautiful house can cater for 100 guest at the civil ceremony or 120 guest for your wedding breakfast and an additional 50 guest for your evening celibrations.

The ample grounds with the stunning backdrop of the house are an idea location for your all important wedding photographs.

 

Fanhams Hall

Fanhams Hall

Fanhams Hall is screaming out with beautiful features, both inside and out and is a wedding photographer’s idea of heaven. The venue holds a wedding licence for indoor and outdoor civil ceremonies.

There are a multitude of superb settings to take your wedding vows including The Great Hall with it's original minstrel's gallery and fabulous open fireplaces or the Grade II listed Japanese Tea House. There is also the Pavillion with a terrace that overlooks the spectacular lake. 

The venue has an added bonus of 77 decadent bedrooms for your wedding guests. 

Definitely a must to view on your prospective wedding venues list in Hertfordshire list.

Pendley Manor offers an idyllic surroundings for your wedding day. The sought after Hertfordshire wedding venue surounded by breath taking countryside and offer a selection of beautiful function rooms that are licensed to conduct civil ceremonies on the premises. The Victorian Country House Hotel bosts 72 bedroom giving you the resurants that your guest every need with be meet, is set with in beautiful 35 acres of landscaped gardens and wooded parkland, boasting the perfect setting for your wedding photography. 

Following the Civil Partnership Act 2004, and the Marriage (same sex couples) Act 2013, same-sex couples can now host their partnership and marriage within the beautiful surroundings of Pendley Manor. 

Knebworth House

Knebworth House

Knebworth House in Hertfordshire is famous worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of Victorian novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton, it is a wounderful wedding venue also. 

Your guest will arrive through the 250 acres of deer park with the towers of Knebworth House aprroching them from the distance. Wedding ceremonies may be held in the Tithe Barns, Cobbold and Lytton Barns, Garden Gazebo within Knebworth House Gardens and Knebworth House itself.

Knebworth House gardens are beautifully landscaped in the Victorian and Edwardian times. They offer the beautiful setting for your treasured photographs with Knebworth House as a stunning backdrop. Civil marriage ceremonies can be held in the Garden Gazebo within the landscaped gardens.

The 16th Century Tithe Barns offer a stunning venue for your wedding breakfast and evening party, allowing you to host your perfect wedding day all at one venue.

 

The Priory

The Priory

Just a short hop to the South East of Hitchin, The Priory is a historic venue for those who enjoy something a little different. The Priory essentially offers a large and ornate barn built in 1541 in a rural setting with water features. There is no accomodation at the venue, therefore guests need to stay locally.
