A roaringly good wedding

If you're looking for something a little extra special for your wedding day, Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park could be your dream venue.

The Lodge is set in the heart of the park, away from guests but overlooking Swan Lake and Desert Springs (home of the meerkats), it's an incredible place for a wedding with a little something more.

Full of character, and characters!

When you get married at the Safari Lodge you absolutely have to make the most of the surroundings. How can you not want pictures of you and your partner with the elephants - or out boating on the lake?

The Lodge itself is pretty versatile, with a lovely wooden terrace where you can look out over the animals, and pretty wooden beams inside that are perfect for hanging bunting or fairy lights for a lovely romantic atmosphere.

You can even add something extra to your day with a VIP experience or take a Safari Drive around the park for pictures with all your favourite animals.

And of course, getting hitched on the estate means that the Woburn Hotel is just down the road, perfect for guests who want to stay and of course, kicking off your honeymoon in one of their stunning suites.

It's impossible not to have fun on safari! I've loved coming to weddings at this venue, there are so many places for photos - and not just involving the animals. With the Lodge set next to the boating lake you can capture some really stunning shots as the sun comes down.

This was my first time shooting at Woburn Estate in Bedfordshire, and I loved the venue. Stephanie and Richard had a fantastic day, and I was delighted with the shots I captured. Here's a small sample of some of my favourites.

Sophie and Ian

Sophie and Ian were married at Woburn Estate in Bedfordshire - a venue which I always enjoy shooting at. I spent the entire day with the happy couple, starting with Sophie while she got ready and staying until the first dance and party. The evening shots at the lake are particularly lovely.
